What is GMM & Where Are We Headed?
A quick update on what I’m building at Global Macro Method and how it all fits together.
GMM is about connecting what’s happening in the economy with what’s priced into markets, and working out where there’s a trade worth taking. The research is at the centre of that, with tools and a community around it to help us keep improving, because trading and running capital is a never ending learning process.
I’m putting more work into each part, with a clear role for every channel:
Substack is the core research hub. Macro research, trade idea write-ups, deep dives, education and the occasional rabbit hole I think is worth dragging you down. It’s also the main place to subscribe and manage your membership.
Substack Chat will become the noticeboard. Key updates, announcements and news for readers. Somewhere you can quickly catch up on what’s happening across GMM.
The GMM website is home to the dashboards, with a dedicated models section coming soon. Both will keep growing and improving as I build out more tools to help put the research into practice.
Discord is where we get into the conversation. Views, charts, analysis, questions, discussion of buy-side and sell-side research, and some good old shit talk. Somewhere to learn, challenge each other’s thinking and talk markets with people who enjoy this stuff.
Your Substack subscription gives you access to all four. The focus is on lifting the quality and making each part more useful to you.

I’m also working on a separate offering, built around a quarterly (3mth) commitment (price to be decided, available for all current premium plus subscribers) with the following:
Fortnightly town hall calls, think group chat and QnA.
2x monthly one-on-one sessions.
This will be a chance to draw more directly on my experience, whether that’s developing your approach, talking through career decisions or having someone to bounce things off.
More on that soon. For now, that’s the direction: better research, better tools and more opportunity to learn from each other.
